The last week has seen the price of silver reach new highs – at one point popping over the £1.00 per gram spot price mark; some say a long awaited benchmark whilst others believe it is an artificial high. Take your pick as to which camp you belong in but the fact is the numbers never lie and you can only play the game that is in front of you so is now the time to act?

There is an old adage amounting to words to the effect of “Always Sell Too Soon!” – if you wait for the elusive “super high” point you may well miss it and end up facing downhill as the prices correct themselves. It’s always wise to leave a little jam for someone else in the food chain to enjoy.

This is probably why we are experiencing a glut of silver being sold to us. Bullion, coins, flatware, tableware, cutlery and all things silver are coming out of the woodwork and every households nooks and crannies to be recycled into circuit boards and batteries! Old trophies and coffee sets seem to be the favourites at the moment and it takes no time at all to overhaul the thousand pound mark in scrap value in a three piece set that has been gathering dust in a sideboard for 30 years or so.

So if you are in the Plymouth, South Hams, Torbay, West Devon, Exeter or South East Cornwall areas and feel it’s time to cash in on your silver items please do get in touch.
