Ok, let’s face it; silver is something of the unwanted step child of precious metals especially when compared to its super shiny brother – Gold. Quite often our unwanted friend is to be found (quite literally!) hiding under the stairs or squatting, forlorn, in an attic. This is especially true of the larger, outdated items that once graced the Victorian or Edwardian dinner table or trophy cabinet, no longer fashionable, oxidised and battered into submission after being passed from hand to hand over many generations these items simply become a burden to their owners.
