Fancy Some “Free” Gold?

Last week we attended an appointment to buy a commercial gold bar from a chap in Ivybridge. During the meeting he let it drop that he panned for gold as a hobby and within seconds we were discussing the joys, frustrations, legalities and rewards of panning for “Free” gold all over the UK. The catch of course is that it’s a lot of hard graft with patchy rewards and fraught with legal issues that means it is not a hobby meant for those of delicate disposition.
