One of our most common call outs is to assess assorted items of jewellery that have been gathering dust in the back of a drawer or “somewhere safe”. Sometimes it’s simply time for a good old de-clutter but very often it’s time to convert an inheritance into cash for the benefit of the living. It’s not unusual to arrive to a biscuit tin fill of bits and bobs and it’s then our job to sort the wheat from the chaff and find the value for our client. This can be a time consuming process as each piece needs to be carefully examined and sorted. But the end result can be quite pleasing with even a modest handful of gold and silver items being worth several thousands of pounds. Once sorted and appraised we will make an offer for these items and, if acceptable, pay you on the spot.
